A Perfect Pairing: Wine Tasting and Kokedama Workshop with Cheryl Tyler from Terra Flora
Celebrate Earth Day 48 by honoring the fruits and flora provided by our brilliant planet.
Kokedama (koke = moss, dama = ball) is a Japanese method of gardening in which a plant's root ball is wrapped in moss and bound with twine. Whether you hang one, or create a string garden by hanging several, Kokedama have a dramatic, veritcal impact on any space.
The afternoon will start with a wine and cheese tasting from Local Market & Cafe.
We’ll continue the celebration by getting our hands dirty. We’ll briefly go over the origins of the Kokedama art form and a step-by-step demonstration. Then you’ll choose from a variety of plants and twines to make your own. Everyone will make two Kokodama to take home. You’ll be provided with tips and instructions on how to care for and maintain your newly created string garden.
The fee includes the tastings and all supplies needed to make your two Kokedama.
Sunday 4/22 from 4-6:30 $55.00
Space is limited to 10, so snag your spot soon!
